Operation Caution for Unused Equipment (More than Half year)

Induction Heating Equipment Commissioning & Furnace Drying Procedure

1. Water System & Leakage Test

• Connect the water-cooled cables of the power unit and induction furnace.

• Inspect the power unit, induction furnace, and transformer for water leaks.

• If no leakage is found, keep the cooling water flowing continuously for at least 30 minutes.

2. Electrical Connections & High-Frequency Cables

• Check all internal wiring on the control, drive, and power boards within the power unit to ensure secure connections.

• Oxide Layer Removal: If the high-frequency cables or induction coil have been disconnected for an extended period, thoroughly clean and remove the surface oxide layer before reconnecting.

• Install water seals before connecting high-frequency cables to the power unit to prevent leakage.

3. No-Load Drive & Signal Verification

• Turn off the main isolating switch. Turn on the control panel power switch and press the Heat button.

• Verify that the drive board indicator lights are functioning properly.

• Maintain the machine in this simulated heating state for 8 hours (if using an oscilloscope, monitor and record the drive waveform data throughout this process).

4. Full-Load Furnace Drying Procedure

• Load the induction furnace to full capacity (full load). Turn on both the isolating switch and the control panel power switch.

• Rotate the Power Adjustment knob to Min, then press the Heat button to begin drying the lining.

• Thermal Cycling (4 Hours): Heat the billet until it reaches 600°C, then press Stop. Allow the billet to air-cool to 200°C, then press Heat again. Repeat this heating/cooling cycle for 4 hours.

• Soaking Phase (4 Hours): Maintain the billet at a constant 600°C for an additional 4 hours.

• Completion Criteria: The drying process is complete when no external moisture is visible on the induction furnace casing (total drying time must be at least 8 hours, adjustable based on ambient working conditions).

5. Unload & Step-Up Power Test

• Clear the furnace (no-load state). Open the isolating switch and control panel power switch, and set the Power Adjustment knob to Min.

• Press the Heat button and slowly rotate the Power Adjustment knob to the Mid position. Run the system for 30 minutes.

• Increase the Power Adjustment knob to Max and run the system for 5 minutes.

6. Final Production Approval

• Once all steps above are completed without error, the equipment is fully commissioned and ready for normal production.
